FCN seeks Fundraising and Publicity Manager

Fundraising and Publicity Manager
Northamptonshire
Salary circa £25k plus pension contribution

FCN is a Christian organisation which provides pastoral and practical support to farmers during periods of anxiety or stress. In recent years farmers are finding it increasingly difficult to stay in business. The additional strain of flooding, Foot and Mouth Disease, Bluetongue and Avian Flu have resulted in severe hardship and anxiety for many farmers.

FCN seeks to add a key member to the management team. Working with the Executive Director and our external advisor to implement a marketing and fundraising plan, this post will focus on developing donor relations in order to increase income from individual and corporate donors, as well as churches.

You will have natural ability to motivate people, be able to work independently and as part of a wider team. Experience in direct marketing, database management and communication skills will be essential. A fundraising background would be helpful, but not essential, as training can be given for the right person. You will need to demonstrate sympathy with the Christian ethos of FCN as this job will involve interaction with churches and Christian groups of all denominations.

FCN Team at British 10k London Run

Again this year four people made up the FCN running team to take part in the British 10k London Run. Everyone met at Trafalgar Square prior to the start of the race. The FCN team, made up of two supporters of FCN and two volunteers, were very eager to get started and joined the other 25,000 runners at the start line.

During the race the weather was very changeable, making running conditions a little difficult at times. However, we are pleased to report that all four runners completed the race in under 56 minutes. WELL DONE TO THEM ALL!!

More Funds raised for FCN

Congratulations to another one of our volunteers, Arthur Brazel (Yorkshire Group), who has been raising funds for FCN for the third year running by taking part in a 2.25 mile sponsored swim.

Our thanks go to Arthur for his commitment and dedication to FCN.
